Huge D2E shoutout to Manny Gomez for being selected for the MVA ❤️🖤
The MVAs will be held at the NIU Convocation Center located in DeKalb, Illinois and will recognize outstanding prep athletes from across the Northern Illinois Region. Students will represent all of the communities covered by Shaw Media's local newspapers.
Awards will be presented to the Player of the Year in each sport, as well as Male Athlete of the Year and Female Athlete of the Year. Three scholarships will be awarded: one each to the Male and Female Athletes of the Year and one at random to an athlete in attendance.
Pro Football Weekly’s Hub Arkush will be the emcee for the evening, and Chicago Bears Akiem Hicks and former Bear Zach Miller will be the special guest speakers.
The JV baseball game scheduled for May 2nd has been cancelled.
The Junior 10 track meet has been rescheduled for tomorrow May 2nd. The meet will take place at Plano HS and will start at 4:15
