As you are likely aware, Governor Pritzker has ordered that schools remain closed through April 30. We would like to commend you on the work your students are doing remotely. Keep up the great work. I want to communicate what the coming weeks will look like. First, there will be no remote learning on April 10 and April 13 as school was not originally scheduled on those days. Further, remote learning will now occur every Tuesday through Friday, as each Monday will be reserved as teacher planning days. That means students will not engage in remote learning on April 6, 10, 13, 20, or 27. All other days Tuesday-Friday will continue to be remote learning days. Please continue to follow the e-learning plan. In closing, it is a real honor to work for the greatest students in the world. Please keep up the great work.

The Earlville FFA Chapter Banquet is one of the annual highlights for the FFA members over the course of the year. A considerable amount of face to face time and effort on behalf of the chapter officers and adviser goes into planning the event. Unfortunately due to the current circumstances, the banquet has been postponed to an unspecified date. When a date has been selected it will be communicated in a timely manner.

Dear Parents,
As a reminder Monday will be an E-Learning Day, please follow the guidelines in the letter. If any student needs to pick up materials please stop by the office on Monday between 8:30 -10:30am and we will get your materials. Also, as a reminder if you do not have internet at home please let your child’s teacher know, as we are collecting a list so we can address those.
We will be offering a drive through food service during this week. Monday, breakfast will be offered from 7:30-8:30. Breakfast pick up will happen at the south west cafeteria door, directly across from the raider head entrance. Each student’s normal fee rate applies. On Monday, cafeteria staff will meet to plan meals for the rest of the week. We will serve at least one meal daily. In order to get breakfast on Monday, simply drive or walk up to the cafeteria door, and staff will assist you. Thank you again for being so understanding and supportive!
The School Board meeting scheduled for March 16 is cancelled. The next Board of Education meeting will be Monday, April 20.
The Fine Arts Festival for this evening will continue as scheduled.
At 3:30 today, the Governor directed all schools to be closed from March 17-March 30th. He left open the possibility that the closure will extend beyond that date. Given this directive, we will not be in session beginning immediately through March 30th. The next scheduled attendance day is Tuesday, March 31 however the closure could extend beyond that date. We will obviously communicate any extension. March 16 will be the first e-learning day and each subsequent non attendance day will be considered an e-learning day with the exception of Spring Break (March 23-27). Please follow the elearning directions sent home and posted to social media today. . All athletic events during the closure are cancelled and coaches should not have practice. Any community events scheduled to occur at school should also be cancelled including 3-4 basketball, adult volleyball, club volleyball. Students will not attend IVVC on Monday.
